Vietnam, Palestine promote cooperation in crime prevention and control

Minister of Public Security General To Lam hosted a ceremony to officially welcome a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the State of Palestine led by Minister Major General Ziyad Habalreeh, on the morning of May 9, 2023, in Hanoi.

Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, Minister To Lam, leading a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, and Minister Ziyad Habalreeh, heading a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the State of Palestine had talks.

At the talks, the two sides agreed to strengthen exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, to understand the cooperation needs and potentials of  the two countries in the field of security and order, enhance information sharing on global and regional issues of mutual concern and promote professional coordination in handling transnational crimes and crimes related to citizens of the two countries.

The two sides also pledged not to allow any organizations or individuals to take advantage of the territory of one country to oppose the other.

At the end of the talks, Minister To Lam and Minister Ziyad Habalreeh signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Palestinian Ministry of Interior on crime prevention and control.
