Welcoming Minister To Lam and the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to the RoK, Prime Minister Han Duck Soo expressed his hope that the two countries' relations will develop strongly in accordance with the spirit of the Vietnam- RoK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Han Duck Soo extended best regards to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and other Vietnamese leader.

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam thanked Prime Minister Han Duck Soo for receiving the delegation, and affirmed that Vietnam always considers the RoK an important and leading partner in the fields of economics, politics, diplomacy, security and national defense.

The guest underscored that the bilateral security and defense cooperation is the mainstay in the relationship between the two countries.

Minister To Lam pledged that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam will create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam, wishing that the RoK would continue to support Vietnam in improving its law enforcement force’s capacity so that it can ensure national security and social order and safety.

* On the afternoon of the same day, Minister To Lam and the delegation had separate meetings with Commander of the Korean National Police Agency Yoon Heegeun and with Commander of the Korean Coast Guard Kim Jong-uk. During the talks, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation in the fight against crime.
