On February 25, at the courtesy meeting with Mr. Desmond Tan, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc affirmed that the Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership and political trust are growing well while the cooperation in all fields is developing in a more effective manner.

The two sides regularly maintained high-level exchanges and consultations as well as supported each other at regional and international forums.

For his part, Mr. Desmond Tan expressed his delight at the increasingly close and effective cooperation in many fields between Singapore and Vietnam in general, and between the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular.

The State Secretary affirmed that the working visit of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese MPS was important, saying that it helped strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

On the afternoon of the same day, Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Singapore Police Commissioner Hoong Wee Teck had a meeting to discuss expansion of cooperation on crime prevention and control.

The two sides hailed good outcomes of the cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore on law-enforcement and crime control via bilateral channels and INTERPOL.

They affirmed, that reflected the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries, as well as demonstrated their strong commitments to the fight against transnational crime.

On February 26, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc visited and worked with functional units of Singapore, including the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office, and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.
