During the visit, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung paid a courtesy calls on Secretary of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and  Minister of National Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Singapore Pang Kin Keong co-chaired the 11th deputy-ministerial meeting between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore.

At the meeting, the two sides acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical results of the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore, especially in the implementation of the agreed contents at the 10th edition and the Cooperation Agreement on Combating Transnational Crime.

Such good results of the security cooperation between the two ministries contributed to deepening the Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership as well as to stable and peaceful development of the region and the world.

Representatives of relevant units of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore discussed and shared experience in a number of areas of cooperation such as in crime prevention via the INTERPOL channel, cyber security, and anti-drug trafficking, hi-tech crime prevention and control. The Singaporean side introduced Singapore's technology applications in the fight against crime.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Singapore Pang Kin Keong sign MOU on exchange of annual visits.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested the two sides continue to closely and effectively coordinate with each other at international forums, take more measures to ensure security and safety for citizens of one country living, studying and working in the other, enhance information exchange, and effectively coordinate in the fight against transnational crimes.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and Mr. Pang Kin Keong signed a Memorandum of Understanding on exchange of visits to replace the MOU that expired in 2018.

* Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.
