Congratulating the U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission on her new term of office in Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long believed that Ms. Courtney Beale will serve as a bridge between the two sides, strengthen mutual trust, enhance experience exchange as well as promote bilateral coordination in holding major events regarding the two countries.

The Vietnamese Deputy Minister wished that the newly-appointed Deputy Chief of Mission would further promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially security and law enforcement, contributing to deepening the Vietnam – U.S. bilateral relations in general and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and U.S. law enforcement agencies in particular.

To expand bilateral cooperation between the two sides in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long stressed the need for appropriate, practical and feasible approaches and mechanisms to promote cooperation activities agreed upon by top leaders of the two countries in the Joint Statement and the Action Plan to implement the Vietnam – U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all fields.

Sincerely thanking Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long for the meeting, U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Courtney Beale affirmed that the Vietnam – U.S. bilateral cooperation has been blossoming over the past time.

The U.S. official highly appreciated numerous achievements in the cooperation between the two sides over the past time, and hoped that the two sides will have more effective cooperation mechanisms in the coming time by signing more cooperation documents and establishing new bilateral dialogue mechanisms.

Agreeing with the U.S. side, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister hoped that Ms. Courtney Beale, as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, will spare no effort to promote the Vietnam – U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership in general and the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the U.S. law enforcement agencies in particular for practical benefits to both sides.
