Vietnamese police and Lao youths want more exchanges

PSNews - The exchange was also seen as a practical activity to contribute to educating the youth of the two countries on the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos and the great significance of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

The Youth Union Standing Committee of the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Youth Organization of the Police Guard High Command held an exchange with a visiting delegation of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU) on September 6 afternoon.

The meeting drew the participation of 200 typical Lao youths, who are in Vietnam to exchange with their Vietnamese peers on  the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962-2017) and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

The exchange was also seen as a practical activity to contribute to educating the youth of the two countries on the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos and the great significance of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

In addition, it’s a chance for Vietnamese and Lao youths to further study the traditions of fighting coalition and the mutual supports of the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and Peoples in the past struggle for national independence and current socio-economic development and defense of each country.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Pham Tien Cuong, Deputy Head of the Police Guard High Command under the Public Security Ministry stated that the two sides should increase exchange activities for not only youth organizations but also functional units and people so as to continuously tighten special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
