Briefing the guests on the situation of intellectual property (IP) protection in Vietnam, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stated that, along with the promulgation of the IP Law, the Vietnamese Government has issued many documents guiding the implementation of laws and regulations regarding IP in Vietnam. 

The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has been and will continue to coordinate with law enforcement agencies of other countries and related units, and drastically direct functional units resolutely fight acts of violating IP.

In order to further strengthen the prevention and fight against IP violations in general in the near future, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung asked ACE - MPA to enhance information exchange, strengthen cooperation and coordination based on international law, international practices and the laws of the two countries.

On behalf of the ACE - MPA delegation, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Counsel of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment Karyn A. Temple thanked Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung for the meeting.

She stressed that Vietnam is an important market for MPA and hoped that the Vietnamese film market will grow more and more in the coming time. 

Ms. Karyn A. Temple said that IP violations greatly affect Vietnamese users and film production organizations in general, expressing her desire for the help and cooperation of law enforcement agencies of other countries, including the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, so as to control IP violations globally. 

Ms. Karyn A. Temple wished to receive effective support of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the prevention and control of IP infringement in the near future.
