The information was revealed by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The four members of the Vietnamese team has surpassed 163 contestants nationwide in a qualifying round to compete in the 15th International Russian Language Olympiad in Moscow, Russia.

The International Russian Language Olympiad is being held each four years since 1972 by the Russian Ministry of Science and Education and the Russian World Fund under the sponsorship of International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.

The International Russian Language Olympiad, which was held on December 3-8 drew the participation of more than 2,500 candidates from 44 nations around the globe.

After two qualifying rounds, 150 best candidates from 31 nations have been selected to enter the final. 

Winners of the Olympiad will be exempted from entrance exams to universities in Russia.
