In his opening remarks, Major General Mai Van Ha, Deputy Director of General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Director of ANTV stressed that only after a year of its first premiere on December 11, 2011, ANTV entered the list of the country’s 10 most favorite television channels with its number of viewers ranked third in the North and sixth in the South.

However, ANTV is now undergoing a hard time in maintaining its position in the local telecommunication sector. To meet the requirements of its political tasks and an increasing demand of TV viewers, the ANTV channel held a workshop to discuss and seek suitable approaches to renovate the channel in the coming time.

Participants of the workshop listened a number of good ideas and opinions from journalists and media experts. Journalist, Dr. Tran Dang Tuan, pointed out the strengths and risks of the ANTV channel as well as ideas and solutions to improve the quality of programs on the channel. Journalists Ta Bich Loan, Nguyen Hanh, Thanh Lam and the other media figures also contributed ideas to improving and maintaining the appeal of the channel amid the challenges of social networks.

To conclude, Major General Mai Van Ha thanked journalists and media leaders for their practical contributions. He stressed that the leaders, reporters and workers of the ANTV would consider taking effective measures to gradually improve the quality of the channel so as to better serve its political tasks and satisfy an increasing need of the viewers.

On this occasion, the leadership of the Center for Radio, Television and Film of Public Security launched the ANTV website with its domain name www.anninh.tv
