Winners of contest on history of Public Security Forces honored

The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, held a ceremony on September 9 in Hanoi to award winners of the contest on the 75-year history of the People's Public Security and15 years of “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day.

The contest took place from April 16 to July 25 and the Organizing Committee received 512,575 entries from young people across the country. There were many good and touching stories about public security officers and soldiers who obtained large achievements in performing their tasks, fighting crimes of all kinds, and participating in social activities. 

The entries to the contest depicted the people's sentiment for the Public Security Forces as well as the beautiful image of the public security officer in the hearts of the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that the contest was a significant political movement with the participation of a large number of youths inside and outside the Public Security Forces in celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised public security units and agencies nationwide for their great efforts in organizing the contest. He also congratulated the teams and individuals wining high prizes at the contest.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented three first prizes, six second prizes and ten third prizes to localities and organizations with large numbers of youths participating in the contest and high-quality research projects in the final round.

The committee also awarded three first prizes, six second prizes, 15 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes to individuals and teams with their outstanding entries.
