Xuyen Moc Prison receives Feat of Arm Order of second class

PSNews- The Xuyen Moc Prison of the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance (GD 8), under the Ministry of Public Security on November 25 celebrated its 40th Anniversary and received a Feat of Arm Order of second class.

Xuyen Moc Prison located in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

The event saw the attendance of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang, General Director of the GD8; local officials; and other leaders, officers of the unit.

At the ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Trong Tuan, superintendent of Xuyen Moc prison briefed delegates on the glorious achievements of generations of the staff of the prison during its 40 years of development. 

Accordingly, generations of officers, soldiers and workers of Xuyen Moc prison, with their courage and creativity, have made great contributions to successfully managing and re-educating a large number of prisoners over the past 40 years as well as ensuring security and order for socio-economic development of the country. 

For its outstanding achievements, the unit has received many noble awards from the Party and State.

Addressing the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son commended the achievements and successes of the Xuyen Moc Prison attained in the past 40 years.

To continue these glorious traditions, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son suggested leaders and officers of the Xuyen Moc Prison to focus on implementing a number of key tasks. 

The Party Committee and the chain of command must focus on Party building and force building while enhancing the maintenance of the disciplines at the prison that should be viewed as a key to completing their political tasks.

He also asked the staff to proactively study and take appropriate measures and solutions so as to further improve the efficiency of reeducation of prisoners according to the laws ad regulations.
