Youth Union chapter under MPS awarded First-Class Fatherland Protection Order

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union chapter of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) solemnly held a ceremony on the afternoon of March 22 in Hanoi to celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931–2026) and the 70th founding anniversary of the MPS Youth Union (1956–2026).

At the ceremony, the Youth Union chapter under the MPS was conferred the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order by the State President.

The event was attended by Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang; Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung; and Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy.

In his remarks, Head of the Public Security Youth Affairs Board Colonel Dong Duc Vu emphasized that, over 70 years of development, the MPS Youth Union chapter has grown from a small organization with only a few hundred members into a strong and dynamic force, becoming an excellent vanguard loyal successive revolutionary force, which has contributed significantly to safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety and building a clean and strong Public Security Forces.

The achievements and contributions of public security youth have been highly recognized by the Party, the State and the people through many noble awards. On the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary, the MPS Youth Union was honored with the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended and praised the continuous effort and outstanding achievements of generations of youth union members within the Public Security Forces over the past 70 years.

Highlighting key tasks for the organization in the coming period, the Minister stressed that, as the country enters a new stage of development, the Public Security Forces are expected to create a new momentum and breakthroughs at work. That provides a “golden opportunity” for young officers to demonstrate their intellect and ability.

He called on Youth Union members within the forces to dedicate themselves, strive for excellence, and make the largest contribution to the Party, the State, the people and the Public Security Forces by achieving concrete results in performing their assigned duties.

The Minister also requested that the Youth Union chapter should strongly renovate its mindset and working methods, stop doing formalistic activities, carry out Youth Union movements for concrete outcomes, contributing to really improving their productivity, and successfully fulfilling their professional responsibilities and other key political tasks.

In addition, he urged Party committees at all levels within the Public Security Forces to continue providing care, support and favorable conditions for young officers to study, work, develop and contribute to the cause of national protection and development.
