12th Public Security Television and Radio Festival to take place in Hue City

PSNews – The 12th Television and Radio Festival of Public Security will have many new features, particularly the first-ever radio report contest.  

The Television and Radio Festival of Public Security is an annual event held by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS). This year’s edition is hosted by the Public Security Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department and local police units.  

Both the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will be held at the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Cultural Hall in Hue City. The opening ceremony will take place at 8 pm on September 9. The closing ceremony will take place at 8 pm on September 13. Both ceremonies will be broadcast live on the ANTV channel and the Thua Thien Hue Radio and Television.

The 12th Television and Radio Festival of Public Security consists of 4 compulsory categories: public security and order program; journalism; and radio news reader and television master of ceremonies (MC). This is also the first year the festival has had a radio program contest.

The organizers will present the Gold and Silver Medals and Certificates of Merit for excellent TV and radio products and programs in the 4 categories; and present the Cup to the team with highest overall scores. The Ministry of Public Security will also present Certificates of Merit to units with large contributions to the success of the festival.

Within the framework of the festival, there will be a special exchange program among the participating units. There will also be a workshop and exhibition on television equipment and techniques.
