PSNews – The Security Guard Command under the Ministry of Public Security on April 3 held the opening ceremony of its 34th traditional sports festival.

This was an opportunity to comprehensively evaluate the quality of physical training and sports movements in police subunits of the Command.

The 34th sports festival of the Security Guard Command drew the participation of 596 officers and soldiers from subordinate units across Vietnam under the Security Guard Command, competing in 20 different categories of 7 sports.

According to organizers, this year’s festival was on the biggest scale ever, which was expected to become source of encouragement and motivation for all security guard police officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill their assigned political tasks.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Commander of the Security Guard Command Major General Tran Hai Quan highly appreciated the determination and efforts of the participating security guard police officers and soldiers.

He then asked all athletes to try their best and compete with honesty, noble sportsmanship and solidarity to make the event a truly meaningful sports festival.
