An Giang police promote ties with Khmer-Vietnam Association chapters in Cambodia

PSNews – A delegation of the An Giang Provincial Police Department led by its Deputy Director Senior Colonel Le Phu Thanh recently visited the Khmer-Vietnam Association chapter of Takeo and Kandal provinces of Cambodia.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Le Phu Thanh spoke highly of the great contribution of the Khmer-Vietnam Association of Cambodia in general and the Khmer-Vietnam Association chapters of the two provinces of Kandal and Takeo in particular.

Senior Colonel Le Phu Thanh also hoped that, in the future, the Khmer-Vietnam Association chapter of Kandal and Takeo provinces would continue to exchange information about the Vietnamese Cambodian community, contributing to further enhancing the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam for the benefits of the two peoples.

He also suggested strengthening cooperation between the Khmer-Vietnam Association chapter and the local functional forces to mobilize Vietnamese Cambodians to strictly abide by the local laws, while keeping regular contact with the Embassy of Vietnam in Cambodia and the Khmer - Vietnam Association of Cambodia as well as local authorities at all levels.

On behalf of the Khmer-Vietnam Association, Standing Member of the the Khmer - Vietnam Association of Cambodia and President of the Khmer - Vietnam Association chapter of Kandal province Ly Van Thia extended his thanks to the Party Committee, leadership as well as all police officers from An Giang for their great support over the past time, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also promised to strengthen cooperation with the authority of An Giang Province in general and the An Giang police force in particular to support the Vietnamese community living Cambodia to stabilize their lives, integrate in the local community and further promote and preserve the Vietnamese cultural identity.
