The Department of Information and Communications (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security recently hosted a meeting with press agencies outside the People's Public Security Forces in Hanoi.

Over the past year, the press agencies outside the People's Public Security Forces have truly reflected activities and achievements of the Public Security Forces in the fight against all kinds of crime as well as  difficulties, hardships and sacrifices of the forces in performing their tasks, and promoted examples of good people and good deeds in the “All people protecting national security” movement.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Party Central Committee Comrade, Deputy Head of the Central Information and Education Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Newspaper Le Quoc Minh affirmed that the press agencies have had large coverage of the People's Public Security Forces in the past time, contributing to promoting the “All people protecting national security movement” and the image of the forces in ensuring public order and safeguarding national security.

Major General Do Trieu Phong awards certificates of merit to journalists for their outstanding achievements in cooperating with the public security agencies and units.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief of the Ministry of Public Security Office Lieutenant General To An Xo hoped that the press agencies will continue paying attention to the People's Public Security Forces, encouraging the forces to successfully fulfill their political tasks, contributing to protecting the political system, people's lives, and creating a favorable condition for national socio-economic development.

Concluding the meeting, Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of DIC affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security recognized and appreciated the coordination and the role of press agencies outside the People's Public Security Forces in disseminating information and covering activities of the Public security Forces.

He also hoped that press agencies will further promote the image of the People's Public Security Officer, who is wholeheartedly committed to rendering service to the country and the people.
