Can Tho Police care for needy people on verge of lunar New Year

PSNews – Needy people in Nhon Nghia commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city, have felt very happy and moved receiving gifts from the Can Tho Municipal Police.  

The Can Tho Municipal Police visited and presented Tet gifts to people in Nhon Nghia commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city, on January 10th.

On the occasion of the upcoming lunar New Year of Rooster, the Women’s Union chapter of the Can Tho Municipal Police in collaboration with agencies and organizations of Phong Dien district and donors visited, provide free medicines and presented 300 gifts (totaling VND 90 million) to needy local people.

Colonel Dinh Van Noi, Deputy Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police stated that: “With the spirit of supporting each other, the Directorate and all officers and soldiers of the Can Tho Municipal Police always try our best to care for people, who live with difficulties”.

Colonel Dinh Van Noi also hoped that the material gifts would contribute to bringing a happy traditional lunar New Year to needy local people.

Mrs. Huynh Thi Thanh Nhan (37 years old), representative of a needy household in Nhon Nghia commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city shared that she has 4 school-age children. She and her husband work as freelancers, so they have been facing many difficulties. Receiving the sentiment and Tet gifts from the city’s police, she felt very happy and touched.
