Can Tho Police hand over steel-hulled patrol boat to Ben Tre Police

PSNews - The Can Tho Municipal Police on April 23 held a ceremony to hand over a steel-hulled patrol boat coded ST-228 to the Ben Tre Provincial Police. 

Major General Vu Do Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques under the Ministry of Public Security hosted the ceremony.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Senior Colonel Luong Van Ben, Deputy Director of the Can tho Municipal Police and Senior Colonel Tran Thi Be Nhan, Deputy Director of the Ben Tre Provincial Police.

The ST-228 steel-hulled patrol boat was made by the An Binh Mechanical Shipbuilding Center (Can Tho Municipal Police) on the contract with the General Department of Logistics and Techniques. The boat was completed 15 days earlier than planned (from September 15 2017 to April 15 2018).

At the handover ceremony, Major General Vu Do Anh Dung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques congratulated the Ben Tre Provincial Police on the new modern steel-hulled patrol boat, and asked the provincial police force to effectively use it in patrolling, especially on the important waterways of the province.

The Deputy Director also praised the An Binh Mechanical Shipbuilding Center and relevant units for their efforts to complete the shipbuilding contract while ensuring the quality and technical requirements.

In the coming time, leaders of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques will continue to support the An Binh Mechanical Shipbuilding Center to improve its capacity to better serve various missions of the public security forces, Major General Vu Do Anh Dung said.
