Can Tho Police take care of Vietnam Heroic Mother

PSNews - The Waterway Police Division under the Can Tho Municipal Police in collaboration with the People's Committee of Truong Long commune (Phong Dien district) on September 8 held a ceremony to officially accept the responsibility for caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ut Chot all her life.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ut Chot was born in 1937 (aged 80, residing at Truong Hoa village, Truong Long commune). Her son, martyr Pham Van Dong, fell down during the resistance war against American invaders.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ut Chot herself used to support and harbor revolutionaries, and was imprisoned by the enemy.

Understanding her living plight as well as honoring her contribution to the national revolution, leaders of the Can Tho Waterway Police Division decided to render a life support of 2 million per quarter to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ut Chot.

This is a practical and humane activity, reflecting the Vietnamese traditional philosophy "When drinking water, remember its source," of the Can Tho Municipal Police, respecting the great sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and wounded soldiers in the cause of national liberation.
