CAND Newspaper and donors present Tet gifts to needy police officers

PSNews - Within the framework of the program "Tet for the poor" 2019, a social charitable mission of the Public Security Newspaper together with kind donors on January 19 visited, inquired after and presented gifts to needy commune police officers in Ben Tre Province.

The mission was joined by Major General Nguyen Van Hoang, Director of the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department and other leaders of the Ben Tre police units and agencies.

At the event, the mission handed over 100 packs of gifts (each includes essential necessities, 1 NutiFood milk cotton and 400,000 VND in cash), with a total value of 100 million VND to local needy police officers.

The gifts were donated by a group Chinese-Vietnamese businesspeople in Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Luy Quoc Cuong and Mr. Luu Quoc Quyen, and NutiFood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company through the program "Tet for the poor" of the CAND Newspaper.

Speaking at the event, Major Nguyen Van Binh, Deputy Head of the CAND Newspaper Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City extended Tet wishes to the commune police forces of Ben Tre Province.

"For the last consecutive 20 years, when the spring comes, the CAND Newspaper has always organized the program "Tet for the poor," which has also received huge supports from enterprises and kind donors. Although the Tet gifts are not very significant in value but they show the sentiment of the Public Security Forces in general and the CAND Newspaper and kind donors in particular to needy police officers in the locality," Major Colonel Nguyen Van Binh said.

On behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department, Senior Colonel Pham Van Ngot, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department recognized and extended his thanks to the CAND Newspaper, NutiFood Company and kind donors for their practical supports to the needy police officers in locality.

According to Senior Colonel Pham Van Ngot, for many years, although the Ben Tre Police force has actively advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to step by step improve lives of commune police officers, they still face many difficulties in life, and many of them have quit their jobs.

Therefore, the "Tet for the poor" program of the CAND Newspaper and donors is a source of support and encouragement to the grassroots police force.
