CAND Newspaper bring Tet gifts to needy people in Tien Giang

PSNews – Within the framework of the program “Tet for the poor”, a mission from the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper on January 8 visited and presented Tet gifts to needy households in My Hoi Commune, Cai Be District, Phu Nhuan and Phu An Communes, Cai Lay District, and My Hanh Dong and My Hanh Trung Commune, Cai Lay district-level town, Tien Giang Province. 

The mission of the CAND Newspaper was led by Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham, Deputy Director of the Public Security Department of Information and Communications, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper, and participated by several enterprises, including Duy Loi Company, Hai Nam Company, Hai Chien Enterprise.

During the trip, the delegation presented 340 packs of gifts worth 175 million VND to needy people in the localities.

According to Mr. Vo Van Nhanh, Vice Chairman of the Cai Lay District People’s Committee, the district currently has 1,120 needy households, accounting for 2.09%. Therefore, the Tet gifts of the CAND Newspaper and donors are significant for local needy people ahead Tet.

On behalf of the mission, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham extended New Year wishes to the people of Tien Giang, hoping that the gifts would help local people to have a happier Tet.
