Criminal Police Force reviews results of investigation of criminal cases in 2015 – 2020 period

PSNews - The Criminal Police Department (CPD) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference on April 15 to review the results of investigation of criminal cases during the period of 2015 – 2020. According to reports at the conference, the CPD guided and cooperated with the nationwide criminal force to investigate hundreds of thousands of criminal cases, of which 80% was successfully investigated during the period of 2015 – 2020. 

The reports also show that the investigation of specialized cases is an important part of the missions of the force.

Addressing the conference, Minister To Lam spoke highly of the conference’s outcomes, saying that the professional tactics to invest specialized criminal cases are considered as a “special weapon” of the People’s Police Force in general and the Criminal Police Force in particular to combat crimes, contributing to  maintaining national security and social order.

The minister affirmed that via the conference, criminal police officers could learn valuable experience in investigating specialized cases as well as recognized shortcomings in investigating specialized cases so they would improve the effectiveness of their fight against crime in the coming time.

“In the current complicated criminal situation, it requires the criminal police force to constantly innovate and flexibly apply professional tactics and skills so as to successfully investigate all specialized criminal cases,” Minster To Lam emphasized.
