Da Nang police ensure absolute safety for DIFF 2019

PSNews – The Da Nang International Firework Festival 2019 (DIFF 2019) has closed with excellent shows performed by the participating teams. Behind the absolute safety and success of the festival was the great work of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department.  

Prior to the final night of the DIFF 2019, Senior Colonel Phan Ngoc Truyen, Head of the Da Nang Municipal Traffic Police Division said that  with the experience in protecting the previous editions of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and the direction of the Directorate of the Da Nang Police Department, relevant units would try their best to ensure absolute safety for the DIFF 2019.

During the 5 nights of the DIFF 2019, the traffic police of Da Nang set up checkpoints on the roads leading to the venue. The local traffic police also coordinated with the police units of Hai Chau and Son Tra Districts to ensure traffic safety and safe space for local people and visitors to enjoy the fireworks on the banks of the Han river, while seeking approaches to prevent traffic jams in the areas where the event took place.

The local criminal police in collaboration with the Son Tra and Hai Chau District Police reviewed and secretly followed subjects with criminal records and those who came from other area to avoid pickpockets, scams, thefts.

Moreover, thanks to the professionalism and close coordination of the Da Nang Fire Police Division and the 8 teams, no fire or explosion incident occurred although there were a huge amount of inflammable materials, tens of thousands of fireworks at the launching places.

From the first show to the final of DIFF 2019, the Da Nang Police Department deployed forces and means to key places while fire and rescue vehicles, lift trucks, canoes were mobilized on 24/24 duty at important locations along Bach Dang Road where the firecrackers were placed.

After every night, the responsible police forces and the police units of Son Tra and Hai Chau Districts joined hand with environment workers of the Da Nang Urban Environment Company and volunteer groups to clean up streets, Han River Bridge, Cau Rong Bridge and other places.  Such activities of the Da Nang police  have left a good impression on local people, visitors and the 8 fireworks teams.
