Da Nang police honor good examples in emulation movement

PSNews – The Da Nang Municipal Police Department in May held a ceremony to review the emulation movement “For National Security” in the period of 2015-2020.

Speaking at the event, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department spoke highly of the great contribution of the local police to the tasks of ensuring political security and social order and safety.

Reports at the conference showed that, over the past 5 years, the Da Nang police forces have discovered 1,905 cases of violating social order and arrested 2,797 persons involved. 100% of the criminal cases were successfully investigated while 98.46% of the serious cases were resolved. The local police also discovered 829 drug-related cases and arrested 1.232 suspects.

Especially, after 2 years since its establishment, Police Unit 911 of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department has contributed significantly to preventing and fighting street crimes. The unit has discovered and handled over 2,700 cases of traffic violation with over 3,200 persons involved.

Major General Vu Xuan Yem urged all police officers and soldiers of the Da Nang police to thoroughly grasp the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh on patriotic emulation, and continue to carry out the slogan “United, Proactive, Exemplary, Disciplined, Responsible, Effective,'' in the coming time.

He also asked the local police forces to build a clean and strong police unit to deserve the title of the key and trustworthy force of the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee as well as Da Nang people.

At the event, Director of the Da Nang police also presented Certificates of Merit to 36 organizations and 36 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement “For National Security” in the period of 2015-2020.
