Department of Information and Communications reviews task performance

PSNews - The Department of Public Security Information and Communications on July 26 reviewed its performance of tasks in the first half of 2019 and rolled out new plans for the second half.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting chaired by Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Public Security.

Senior Colonel Ma Duy Quan, Vice Director of the Department, briefed delegates on the outcomes of the sector’s task performance in H1, as well as difficulties in implementing its tasks.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized the importance of information and communications services in the current context. He asked the department to sufficiently, quickly and effectively cover all activities of the leaders of the Party, State and the Ministry of Public Security, as well as to reflect domestic and international situations and issues of public concern while focusing on the good service, contributions and sacrifices of the Public Security Forces for the country and community.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also emphasized the sector should participate actively in preventing and combating signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” among Party members and officials, struggling against distorted and fake information aiming at undermining the Party, State and national solidarity bloc, contributing to protecting the Party's ideology, cementing the people's beliefs in the revolutionary cause, and making the people further support the Public Security Forces.

For its large achievements in information service, the Department was honored with various Certificates of Merit and Awards in H1.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha was presented with the title “Emulation Soldier of the Public Security Forces” while various individuals and teams received Certificates of Merit from the Department.
