Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi attends Department of Telecommunications and Cipher’s meeting

The Department of Telecommunications and Cipher (DTC) under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on March 29 held a meeting to review its task performance in the first quarter of 2021.

The meeting saw the attendance of Major General Le Tan Toi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Over the past time, the DTC has effectively performed its function of managing telecommunications and cipher work in the Public Security Forces (PSF). It has also ensured uninterrupted, fast, and secured communication channels serving the command and control as well as various activities of the forces.

Under the authority of Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi grants the “Emulation” flags and certificates of merit to the DTC.

Particularly, the DTC directed the public security telecommunications and cipher sector to successfully ensure information security and safety for the 13th National Party Congress and other important events of the country. It also actively coordinated with various units to implement the e-ID card project in line with the direction of the MPS leadership.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi praised the remarkable achievements of the DTC and urged it to actively advise its upper levels on communication and cipher measures to protect confidential information and secrets on the communications channels of the chains of command in the Public Security Forces (PSF). 

It was also asked to well manage and operate the optical cable transmission network, internal telephone network, radio and satellite communication networks, meeting the requirements of the PSF in performing their tasks.
