Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long reviews construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes

PSNews - Recently, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long chaired a meeting to review the projects to build the Ministry of Public Security-funded inter-level boarding schools in border communes, in Hanoi.

Presenting a report at the meeting, Deputy Chief of the Ministry Office Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen stated that, in implementing Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo on the policy of investing in the construction of inter-level boarding schools at the primary and lower secondary levels in 248 border communes, the Ministry of Public Security had assigned provincial-level police departments to undertake the construction of 25 schools.

According to the assessment, during the implementation of school construction projects since 2025, provincial police departments have proactively deployed various measures to accelerate the project implementation according to the schedule.

Relevant under-ministerial departments and local-level police units have made a special effort to accelerate investment and disbursement processes, yielding positive initial results.

During the meeting, representatives of involved local police units focused on clarifying difficulties and obstacles arising during project implementation, proposed practical and innovative solutions to ensure the progress and quality of the construction projects, striving to complete and put the schools into operation before the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long acknowledged and praised the participating public security units and agencies for their determination and sense of responsibility for the construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that building schools in border communes is not only an important political task aimed at contributing to safeguarding the nation’s frontier areas but also a meaningful responsibility of the Public Security Forces toward local communities, helping improve educational conditions, ensure social welfare and strengthen national defense and security.

On that basis, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long requested heads of all involved public security units and agencies to closely follow the Ministry leadership’s directions and requirements for the project implementation, continuously renovate their mindsets and improve their working methods to ensure efficiency and timely completion of the projects.

He assigned the Ministry Office to directly supervise and inspect the construction progress of all the Ministry of the Public Security-funded school projects and to promptly advise the Ministry’s leadership on solutions to remove bottlenecks and difficulties in the project implementation, thereby ensuring that all projects are implemented as scheduled and meet quality requirements.
