Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long sends letter of praise to police in Da Nang

Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long sent a letter on July 19 praising the Da Nang City Police Department for saving lives of 6 people who were gulfed by flooding.

The letter reads:

Leaders of the MPS got a report on July 9 on the successful rescue mission conducted by the Da Nang City Police Department in which the local police saved lives of 6 people, including 2 women and 4 children aging from 5 to 11.

According to the report, the six people had been isolated at a stream in Hoa Phu commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang City as floods had made the stream rise up.

Upon receiving the information, the fire and rescue police force quickly approached the scene.

The policemen used equipment as well as their experience and skills to carry out rescue plans.

The policeman sought to hang ropes across the stream and took the victims one by one over the fast flowing stream safely.

The deputy minister writes, the local fire policemen have showed their high sense of responsibility and excellent service of people as they have brave their lives to rescue the people in danger.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises the Da Nang Municipal Police Department, local fire police force and especially the participating policemen for their great achievements and hopes that the local police will win more victories in the future.
