Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long visits Nho Quan Wounded War Veterans Nursing Center

PSNews - On the occasion of the 76th War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27/7/1947 – 27/7/2023), a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long, visited wounded and sick war veterans treated at Nho Quan Wounded War Veterans Nursing Center.

Currently, the center is in charge of caring, treating and rehabilitating 147 people from 22 provinces and cities including 68 seriously wounded veterans, 23 war participants and their offsprings contaminated with toxic chemicals, and other social policy beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long emphasized that all the delegates were touched while visiting the center, and they admired and are proud of the wounded and sick war veterans’ sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation and defence. The delegates also showed their sympathy for the physical pain of the veterans.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long underlined that  the wounded and sick war veterans are typical examples of courage and sacrifice and hoped that they continue to struggle with their illnesses, as well as promote the spirit of being “physically handicapped, still useful”.

The deputy minister hoped that the center staff will continue take good care of the wounded war veterans, contributing to effectively implementing the Party and State's  preferential policies towards people with meritorious services to the revolution.
