Reports delivered at the meeting read that, under the direction of the MPS, the Steering Committee has developed a working plan to inspect and supervise the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the People's Public Security Forces.
In addition, the MPS’s Department of Health gave professional instructions on prevention, control, quarantine, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 to all public security units and agencies. Public security agencies and units at all levels also drew up plans to ensure absolute safety for working teams in charge of disease control.
At the same time, the police forces took effective measures to prevent and strictly handled wrong information about Covid-19,, contributing to maintaining public order and security in localities across the country.
Local police units also detected and handled cases of smuggling and speculating medical stuffs and devices, as well as cases of producing and trading fake and poor-quality medical products.
To conclude the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son recognized and praised the efforts of the Steering Committee as well as the public security agencies and units in preventing the infection of COVID-19 in the Public Security Forces over the past time.
The Deputy Minister noted that COVID-19 will have more complicated developments in the coming time so that all leadership levels of the Ministry of Public Security should continue enhancing prevention and control of the disease among the Public Security Forces.
All public security units and agencies should take drastic and comprehensive measures to prevent COVID-19 from spreading in the community in general and in the Public Security Forces in particular. The MPS’s Department of Health should monitor and regularly report the disease situation to the Steering Committee.
