Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Ha Tinh police

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son visited Ha Tinh province on November 17 and offered support to flood-hit people and police officers in the province.

During the working visit, he also praised outstanding police officers and soldiers participating in disaster relief.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son sent condolences from the Minister and other leaders of Public Security to local victims of the recent floods. He also expressed sympathy for their losses while hailing the efforts of the provincial police forces in disaster response and relief.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son, on behalf of the leadership of the MPS, presented VND 1.5 billion to local people hard hit by the recent natural disasters and hoped that they would overcome all difficulties to resume their normal lives.

The deputy minister also asked the provincial police to coordinate with relevant forces to ensure security and order and support local people in overcoming the consequences.

At the meeting with the provincial police on the same day, the delegation was briefed by Senior Colonel Le KhacThuyet, Director of the Provincial Police Department, on the provincial police’s task performance over the past 10 months, particularly their participation in natural disaster response and relief.

He urged the provincial police forces to further support local people to overcome all consequences of the recent natural disasters, ensure security and order and actively attack crimes, especially smuggling, drug-related crime or black credit, especially when the Traditional Lunar New Year festival (Tet) is only 3 months ahead.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son presented VND 1.5 billion to the provincial police of Ha Tinh, awarded certificates of merit to 2 teams and 5 officers with outstanding achievements.
