Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh pays tribute to martyrs in Tay Ninh

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 25 to offer incense and flowery wreaths at martyrs' cemeteries in Tay Ninh province.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and the delegation visited and offered incense and wreaths at the Hill No.82 National Cemetery and the Cemetery of the Security Division of the former South Central Department.

The delegation also visited and offered incense at the statues of Uncle Ho, the late Chairman of the Ministerial Council Pham Hung as well as the Armed Security statue at the Relic of the Security Division of the South Central Department in Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province.

In front of the statues of heroic martyrs, leaders of the MPS and leaders of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and delegates paid tribute and expressed their deep gratitude to the public security officers who laid down their lives for the causes of national liberation in different periods as well as for the cause of national construction and defense.

On same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary households in Tay Ninh. The delegation also visited and handed over Tet gifts to the family of late Major General Ngo Quang Nghia, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces; visited and inquired after former public security officer Phan Van Dien (known as Muoi Thuong), Hero of the People’s Armed Forces; and visited former public security officer Luong Thi Tam, a wounded veteran losing 61% of health, former Deputy Head of the Tay Ninh Security Division.
