The working session was attended by representatives from the USABC and its member businesses specializing in aviation, aerospace, security-defense, cybersecurity and information technology.

At the working session, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung highly appreciated the active role of USABC in connecting the U.S. Government and the business community with ASEAN member countries, including Vietnam.

The Deputy Minister reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to building a transparent and safe investment environment for U.S. enterprises by improving the legal framework, promoting administrative reform, enhancing data protection and preventing legal risks.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung underscored that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam seeks to strengthen cooperation with U.S. businesses in the security industry and modernization of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces to meet their operational requirements in the current context.

He called on the USABC and the U.S. business community to support Vietnam’s stance on a balanced bilateral trade model that contributes to comprehensively developing relations between the U.S. in a practical sustainable manner for mutual benefits.

* On the same day, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also met with Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at Lockheed Martin Corporation Jeff White to discuss outcomes of cooperation between the two sides in the past time, as well as explore opportunities to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the future.
