Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To checks new organizational structures of local-level police

PSNews - A delegation from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, visited the Ninh Binh Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Facility, the Hong Quang Communal Police Post (Y Yen district, Nam Dinh province), and the Thanh Nghi Communal Police Post (Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province).

* In Ninh Binh province: Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and other delegates visited and inspected the operation of the Ninh Binh Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Facility.

Under Decree No. 02/2025/ND-CP, taking effect from March 1st, 2025, MPS has officially assumed the responsibilities of drug rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation management.

Following the directives of MPS leaders, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department has now taken over all the infrastructure, equipment and facilities of the Ninh Binh Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Facility.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highly commended the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department for its safe takeover of the responsibilities and the rehab facility as assigned by MPS.

The Deputy Minister underscored that all police officers and personnel assigned to the new responsibilities should uphold their sense of responsibility and ensure the immediate and seamless operation of the drug rehabilitation facility without disruptions or lapses.

* In Nam Dinh province: Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and his entourage had a working session with the Hong Quang Communal Police Post in Y Yen district.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To acknowledged the difficulties faced by the police units as well as proposals and recommendations made by the Hong Quang Communal Police Post.

The Deputy Minister wished that the local police post would soon consolidate its Party organization and mass organizations, and effectively perform its functions and duties under the new organizational structure of the Public Security Forces.

* In Ha Nam province: Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and his aides visited the Thanh Nghi Communal Police Post in Thanh Liem district.

Hearing reports from the Thanh Nghi Communal Police Post on the results of ensuring security and order in the locality as well as its the new organizational structure according to the new models of the local-level police, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highly commended the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department for its investment in constructing a new compound for the communal police post  with essential facilities and equipment in support of its operation and officers’ daily needs.

The Deputy Minister also urged the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department to strengthen its leadership, supervision and inspection, ensuring that the communal-level police force can immediately take on their new responsibilities with no disruption.
