Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To takes field trips to local police units

PSNews - Accompanying Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, who led a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to pay an official visit to China, Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To and other senior officers from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam visited and had working sessions with a number of agencies and units under the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.

On April 9, 2024 in Beijing, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and his entourage came to the Nguu Nhai Ward Police Post – a role-model in Xicheng district, Beijing, China.

Leaders of the Xicheng District Police Station and Nguu Nhai Ward Police Post leaders briefed the high-ranking Vietnamese public security officers on the local order and security situation, their functions and missions as well as their work results in recent times. 

According to the reports at the meeting, the Nguu Nhai Ward Police Post has been recognized by the Minister of Public Security of China as a No1 Model Ward Police Post.

For his part, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To thanked the leaders of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security as well as local police forces for the useful field trip to a grassroots-level police unit.

The guest also credited the local police for their work results and achievements in maintaining order and security, preventing and controlling crime.

He hoped that grassroots-level police units, especially the Nguu Nhai Ward Police Post, will share their experience in building the model ward police post in terms of security, order and urban civilization with their Vietnamese counterparts, on the basic of the common perceptions agreed by leaders of the two Parties, Sates and Ministries of Public Security.

* On the same day, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam had a working session with the Law Enforcement Management and Case-handling Center under the Xicheng Police Station.

At the meeting, leaders of the Xicheng District Police Station and Center briefed the Vietnamese guests on the organizational model structure, staffing, facilities, as well as functions and missions of the center, saying that the center has advanced scientific and technological equipment and machinery to try cases in a completed process from receiving suspects, conducting security and health checks, putting ankle monitors and recording interrogation.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highly valued the functions, missions and facilities of the center, saying that the camera system, monitoring the center around the clock, is the standard model of such a center, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.
