Di An police honor 20 brave "street knights"

PSNews - The Di An Town Police (Binh Duong Province) in June held a conference to review its task of crime prevention and fighting in the first 6 months of 2018. 

According to the report, besides thoroughly grasping the security and order situation in the area, the local people-based crime prevention and fight groups also actively coordinated with the police force to crack down on spots of specially complex security and order, and arrested many law offenders.

In the first six months of 2018, local "street knights" have helped the local police force to detect 88 cases, including 24 robbery cases, 12 cases of drug trafficking and storing, and 21 social disturbance cases.

Besides, the local groups of "street knights" in collaboration with local organizations and units organized nearly 200 law dissemination programs, helping raise the public awareness of law observance and property protection as well as crime prevention.

In recognition of such achievements, Chairman of the Di An Town People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 street knights, praising their bravery in attacking criminals.

The Di An Town People's Committee also presented 28 knife-proof vests to 7 local crime prevention and fighting groups.
