DIC pays tribute to heroic martyrs in Dien Bien Phu

PSNews – A delegation of the Department of Information and Communications (DIC) under the Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the DIC on May 5 visited and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at Martyrs’ Cemetery A1 in Muong Thanh ward, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province. 

This was an activity of the back-to-root trip to Dien Bien Province of the DIC on the occasion of the President Ho Chi Minh's 130th birthday (May 19, 1890-2020), the 66th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954-2020), and the Worker’s Month in 2020.

The event also saw the presence of Senior Colonel Ma Duy Quan, Vice Director of the DIC, Director of the Public Security Publishing House; Senior Colonel Nguyen Thuy Quynh, Vice Director of the DIC, CAND Newspaper's Deputy Editor in Chief.

At the Cemetery A1, the delegation offered floral tribute in commemoration of heroic martyrs of the People’s Public Security Forces, who had bravely fought and sacrificed their lives during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

On behalf of the leaders and officers, soldiers and workers of the DIC, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha expressed deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

He stressed that, the police officers, soldiers and workers of the DIC promise to study and follow the thought, morals and life style of President Ho Chi Minh as well as his six teachings to the People’s Public Security Forces as well as to successfully fulfill all tasks assigned by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security and people.

In the coming time, the unit would actively disseminate information about Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress, along with other national political events and major holidays, contributing its part to the general achievements of the entire Public Security Forces.

Within framework of the trip, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to 80 policy beneficiary families, needy households and needy police officers and soldiers in Muong Nhe District, and handed over hundred packs of gifts to students in Muong Nhe District.

The delegation in collaboration with the Ha Dong Eye Hospital also carried out free eye-checks and eye surgeries for policy beneficiary families and needy families, needy police officers and soldiers in Dien Bien Province.
