DPF tasked to ensure good planning, financial service for Public Security Forces

The Department of Planning and Finance (DPF) under the Ministry of Public Security on June 24 organized its first Party congress for the term 2020-2025.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Member of the Public Security Central Party Standing Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a speech at the event.

Political reports delivered by the DPF’s Party Executive Committee at the congress read that, since the apparatus of the department was reorganized, the department’s Party committee has quickly consolidated its organization and led the sector to successfully fulfill its assigned tasks.

Under the leadership of the Party committee, the DPF proactively drafted a master plan on allocating special funds for the Public Security Forces in the period of 2016-2020, which was then submitted by the Public Security Central Party Committee to the Politburo and the Prime Minister for approval.

The timely drafting and approval of the master plan helped implement important and urgent projects and tasks, meeting the requirements for operations of the People's Public Security Forces in the new situation. Additionally, the department assisted the MPS’s leadership in planning and managing the State budget sources.

During the past term, the DPF’s Party Committee also paid due attention to Party and force building, improved the quality of activities of its subordinate Party organizations, while enhancing inspection and supervision over its subordinate Party organizations.

At the congress, delegates discussed and gave ideas to the draft political report to be submitted at the 7th Public Security Central Party Committee as well as to the key missions for the DPF’s Party organization in the 2020-2025 term. The congress also elected the  Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and delegates to attend the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son congratulated and praised the DPF’s Party organization for their achievements over the past years.

The Deputy Minister requested that the DPF’s Party Committee of the new term should direct the sector to effectively perform the planning and financial work in the People's Public Security Forces while strengthening the Party building work and improving the quality of its subordinate Party organizations.

It should also serve as a think-tank of the MPS's leadership in the fields of making plans and financial projects, managing public assets, and allocating funds for all public security units and agencies.
