Economic Security Department reviews performance of tasks

PSNews - The Department of Economic Security under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a conference on July 2 to review its task performance in the first half of 2019. General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, attended and addressed the meeting.

In the first 6 months of 2019, the Department has promptly rearranged and perfected its new organizational apparatus. Under the direction of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, the Department has grasped the situations and advised the Party and State leaders on solutions to various complex economic issues related to banking, petrol, traffic, commerce as well as shortcomings in economic mechanisms and policies. The efforts and contributions of the Department have been recognized and appreciated by the Party and State.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam applauded the efforts and achievements made by the Department in the first half and asked them to promptly review prominent economic security issues and draw up effective plans to swiftly solve them.

Minister To Lam also urged the economic security force all over the country to take drastic measures to ensure economic security, detect and fight corruption and economic cases causing losses of State property.
