Event highlights traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia

PSNews – The Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association Chapter of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) recently held an art show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship Vietnam – Russia and the 103rd anniversary of the Russian October Revolution.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the MPS’s Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association; Senior Colonel Aleksandr Gennadievich Ivanov, Chief Representative of the Russian Federal Security Agency in Vietnam.

At the event, Major General Bui Minh Giam, Vice Chairman of the MPS’s Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association briefed delegates on the meaning and importance of the Russian October Revolution, as well as the time-tested good relationship between Vietnam and Russia.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Russian people for their generous support for the cause of the Vietnamese revolution and national construction over the past 70 years.

He also asked members of the MPS’s Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association to continuously strengthen the friendship between the two countries as well as the cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and the Russian law enforcement agencies.

Senior Colonel Aleksandr Gennadievich Ivanov, Chief Representative of the Russian Federal Security Agency in Vietnam stressed that, for many decades, Vietnam has always been the most reliable partner of Russia. 

The outstanding Vietnam-Russia relationship is based on mutual trust and comprehensive cooperation. For many years, Vietnam has always been the country with the most of officers studying at ministerial-level educational institutions in Russia.

He affirmed that, in 2020, although the COVID-19 epidemic has affected the world, the Russian side will still maintain and continue cooperation activities between the security agencies of the two sides.
