Fire police force asked to enhance fire prevention and rescue operation

PSNews – The Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue organized a conference on December 29 to review its task performance in 2020 and roll out its working plan in 2021. Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event. 

In 2020, the fire police force directly participated in 2,825 firefighting and rescue cases, evacuated nearly 3,000 people from dangerous places, and saved 1,260 lives. During its rescue missions, the force found and returned 722 victim’s bodies to their families.

For its excellent achievements in 2020, the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung recognized and hailed the efforts and achievements of the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue in 2020.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung urged the fire police force to actively give advice to the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS on the project to streamline its organization. He also requested the force to enhance scientific research in fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

The nationwide fire police force should boost fire prevention during the 13th Party National Congress, and the Lunar New Year festival 2021.

At the conference, under the authority of the State President and Minister of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung awarded honors to several officers and subunits of the Police Department of Firefighting and Rescue for their outstanding achievements.
