General To Lam and 18 public security senior officers elected to the 15th National Assembly

19 senior officers of the Public Security Forces were elected to the 15th-tenure National Assembly (NA), according to the list of newly-elected NA deputies announced by the National Election Council’s Office.

General To Lam, Politburo’s Member and Minister of Public Security won the highest percentage of the vote in Constituency No. 1 of Hung Yen province (Hung Yen city and Kim Dong, Khoai Chau and Yen My districts).

Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, received the most votes in Constituency No. 2 in Bac Ninh province (Tu Son town and Tien Du, Yen Phong districts).

Major General Le Tan Toi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, also won an absolute majority of the vote in Constituency No. 1 of Long An province (Duc Hue, Duc Hoa, Ben Luc and Tan Tru districts).

03 public security officers working at NA agencies were elected as new-tenure NA deputies, namely Lieutenant General Tran Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee; Major General Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice Chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee; Major General Nguyen Thi Xuan, Standing Member of the National Defense and Security Committee.

07 directors of provincial-level police departments elected as deputies of the 15th NA are Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department; Major General Nguyen Van Thuan, Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police Department; Major General Vu Thanh Chuong, Director of the Hai Phong Municipal Police Department; Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of the Ha Nam Provincial Police Department; Senior Colonel Trang A Tua, Director of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department; Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Nam, Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department; Senior Colonel Vu Hong Van, Director of the Dong Nai Provincial PoliceDepartment.

06 deputy directors of provincial police departments and leaders of under-ministerial departments elected as the 15th NA deputies are Senior Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Police Department and Head of the city’s Security Investigation Agency; Senior Colonel Tran Dinh Chung, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department; Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Han, Deputy Director of the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department; Colonel Tran Thi Thu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Kon Tum Provincial Police Department; Senior Colonel Vu Huy Khanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, Administrative and Judicial Reforms under the Ministry of Public Security; Senior Colonel Le Nhat Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security under the Ministry of Public Security.
