Guard Police High Command reviews operations in first half of 2018

PSNews - The Guard Police High Command organized a conference on August 13 to review its performance of tasks in the first half of 2018 and announce plans for the remaining months of the year.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

In the first 6 months of 2018, the guard police force ensured absolute safety for leaders of the Party, State and important political events, conferences, key targets and international delegations visiting Vietnam, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and promoting the socio-economic development and international integration of the country.

For the achievements, the Guard Police High Command were honored with the “Fatherland Protection” Order of third class by the State, and the Ministry of Public Security presented an Emulation Flag to an outstanding sub-units and Certificates of Merit to eight others under the high command. Additionally, the High Command also presented Certificates of Merit to 56 teams and 342 individuals with their good performances.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh asked the Guard Police High Command to strictly implement directions of the Minister of Public Security on the reorganization of the force and posting of personnel based on their strengths and qualifications.

He also asked the high command to actively collect information, closely coordinate with relevant forces, agencies and branches, police units in localities to ensure absolute safety for all activities of the country’s leaders, premises of important agencies of the Party, State, international guests visiting Vietnam and political events of the country while actively advising the ministry on the implementation of the Law on Guard as well as organizing intensive training courses on the Law on Guard Force among the Public Security Forces.
