Hanoi Municipal Police have new Director

The Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) announced a decision on July 31 to appoint Major General Nguyen Hai Trung, Vice Permanent Chairman of the Inspection Committee under the Public Security Central Party Committee, as Director of Hanoi Municipal Police Department and a retirement decision to Lieutenant General Doan Duy Khuong, Director of the Municipal Police Department, starting from August 1.

The event was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Vice Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security. It also saw the presence of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo Member, and Secretary of Hanoi Municipal Party Committee.

Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue and Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong congratulated Major General Nguyen Hai Trung on his new position and hoped that he would overcome all difficulties and try his best to fulfill all given tasks.

Major General Nguyen Hai Trung expressed his honor to be appointed as the Secretary of the Hanoi police Party organization and Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department. He vowed to stay united with the Party organization and leadership of the Municipal Police Department to advise the Minister of Public Security, the city’s Party Committee and People’s Committee to issue policies, measures and plans on ensuring security and order in the city, creating a safe and secure environment for socio-economic and culture development in the city.
