Hanoi Police deploy forces to ensure safety and security for 13th National Party Congress

PSNews - The Hanoi Municipal Police Department on January 20 held a conference to deploy plans and forces to ensure security and safety for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The event saw the presences of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Party Central Committee's member, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Subcommittee on Security and Order Protection for the Party congresses at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress; and Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Party Central Committee’s member, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee.

At the conference, representative of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department briefed delegates on plans to protect the National Party Congress, stating that the capital police have implemented preventive measures and deployed forces to the whole capital city to ensure absolute security for the Party Congress.

The capital police also coordinated closely with functional units and relevant agencies to exchange and update information about the local situation so as to adjust and supplement plans to protect the National Party Congress.

Addressing the conference, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh asked the police force to strictly implement directions from the Party Central Committee, the Government, the Ministry of Public Security, and the sub-committee for ensuring security, order, and safety for the congress.

He suggested Hanoi police further intensify inspections and urge those on duty to fully perform their tasks. Synchronous measures for ensuring security must be implemented to guarantee the congress is a success, he emphasized.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam noted that the local police should give the highest priority to the work of ensuring absolute safety and security for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress. 

He requested the capital police to make all local police officers and soldiers raise their sense of responsibility for work and try their best to successfully perform their duties during the congress.

Hanoi’s police have already set up a command committee for protecting the 13th National Party Congress and security working groups to serve the command over and management of security work. It has also worked closely with units under the Ministry of Public Security in assigning specific responsibilities, positions, and tasks to each unit.
