HCMC finishes project to build ward police post model of security, order and urban civilization

 PSNews - Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung on September 20 worked with leaders of the Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police Post in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on the results of the implementation of a pilot project to build the "Ward police station model of security, order and urban civilization" in the city.

The meeting drew the attendance of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Ngo Minh Chau, representatives of the local authorities as well as leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department.

A representative from the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department briefed the delegation and delegates on the results of the implementation of the pilot project in the Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police Post, stating that the Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police Post had been selected to implement the pilot project of the Ministry of Public Security. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021 with many difficulties, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department and the District 12 Police Station still directed the ward police post to drastically implement the project.

So far, the ward police post has basically completed 22/22 criteria for the ward police post of security, order and urban civilization, of which the criteria of Party building, force building, and finance, equipment and logistics have been outperformed. 

Meanwhile, the situation of political security, social order and safety in the ward has been maintained stably while the number of crimes and social evils in the ward has been controlled.

To achieve big success in the project, from the beginning of the project, the Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police Post advised the local Party committee and authority to lead all local agencies, organizations and people to join the local police in building  “Ward police post model of security, order and urban civilization.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung suggested that the Party Committees and People's Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, District 12 and Tan Chanh Hiep Ward continue supporting the Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police Post in building the model, saying that the project creates an important basis for building an orderly, disciplined, civilized and modern society.

The Deputy Minister requested the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to actively advise the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to issue a specialized resolution on the project in accordance with the roadmap to 2025, and ensures that the project will have been completed in Ho Chi Minh City by 2030.
