HCMC Police helps local people complete residence permit application

PSNews - The Binh An Ward Police Team, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on January 6 deployed a working group to residential area No.4 of Binh An Ward to receive temporary resident applications and return temporary residence permits to people in accordance with the Residence Law.

Within 3 hours in the morning, the working group instructed hundreds of local residents to complete their application forms. The supported people were all happy and thankful to officers of the Binh An Ward Police.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a local resident said that all people know that immigrants should show up to the local police to declare their temporary residence and complete the administrative procedures for residence permits but they will not do this till they really need temporary residence permits for their business.

Learning the situation, officers of the Binh An Ward Police came to local areas on the weekend to help people there, particularly immigrants, to get their legal residence permits.

According to leaders of the Binh An Ward Police Post, this was not the first time the local police had come to residential areas to help people with their residence registration.

Normally, the ward police force coordinated with the local residential management board to hand application forms to each household before their arrivals. Therefore, the process ran smoothly and quickly.
