High Command of Mobile Police reviews protection work of the APEC Summit Week 2017

PSNews - The High Command of Mobile Police (HCMP) under the Ministry of Public Security in November held a conference to review its mission of protecting the events and activities of APEC 2017. 

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the APEC 2017 Subcommittee for Security and Healthcare attended and delivered a speech at the event. 

Reports at the meeting said that the HCMP has well performed its role as advisor and strictly implemented the set plan and guidance of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security in ensuring security and safety of all the meetings, and conducting drills on protection of the APEC Summit Week.

During the missions, leaders of the MPS and the HCMP usually checked the participating units and visited and encouraged the police officers.

The participating police officers and soldiers well promoted the sense of responsibility while strictly observing the disciplines and working procedures and overcoming numerous difficulties in life and weather to successfully fulfill the assigned tasks, ensuring absolute safety for all events, facilities and people.

 Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Central Party Committee and APEC 2017 Subcommittee for Security and Healthcare, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam praised the achievements of the HCMP and its participating officers and soldiers in the APEC Summit Week 2017.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam stressed that the success in ensuring absolute security and safety of the APEC 2017 has made much sense to the country, especially when the country is promoting international integration. It has also demonstrated the will, the wisdom, the experience, responsibility and unity of the entire Party, the people, the Public Security and the People's Army Forces.

He underlined the contribution of the mobile police force to the success, saying that the HCMP, with its combat spirit, had well prepared for the APEC Summit Week 2017 by drawing specific plans, conducting training drives and drills and actively coordinating with relevant units.

The Deputy Minister also urged the HCMP to soon complete the report focusing on lessons learned from ensuring security and order for the APEC Summit Week 2017 and submit it to leaders of the MPS.

The force should also propose the MPS organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing and carrying the missions during the APEC Summit Week 2017 for rewarding and continue to promote good examples among mobile police officers and soldiers, contributing to building the image of an elite, modern Vietnamese police force in the eyes of international friends.
