Information and Communications Department reviews gender equality, family and children work

PSNews – A delegation of the Committee for Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Work under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Major General Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Director of the Department for Party and Political Work on August 26 worked with the Information and Communications Department under the MPS on its gender equality, family and children work.

The meeting saw the presence of Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Information and Communications Department, and Head of its Subcommittee for the Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Work.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Thuy Quynh, Deputy Director of the Department, Deputy Head of the Subcommittee for the Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Work of the Department of Information and Communications said that, the Subcommittee was established on July 24 with 9 members.

Since its establishment, the Subcommittee has closely followed the direction of the Committee for the Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children work of the MPS and the directions of the Party Committee and leadership of the Department to well organize all activities.

The subcommittee has always focused on gender equality and family education, while continuously innovating its information  drives in both contents and forms suitable to the actual situation and the political tasks of the unit.

Delegates also pointed out some limitations in practicing gender equality or information and education of laws and policies on gender equality.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the working delegation, Major General Nguyen Duc Minh highly appreciated the effort of the Information and Communications Department in implementing the direction of the Committee for the Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Work under the MPS.

In the coming time, Major General Nguyen Duc Minh urged the unit to overcome limitations and difficulties, and well perform family and children work, as well as to give more training opportunities to its female personnel. 

Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha thanked and acknowledged the ideas given by Major General Nguyen Duc Minh, other delegates.

He also affirmed that the Information and Communications Department is always willing to create favorable conditions for the Subcommittee for Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Work to operate effectively.
