The Deputy Minister also pointed out shortcomings in applying information technology (IT) to the forces’ practical activities.

He also suggested the important issues that should be clarified at the conference. These included assessing and forecasting threats and challenges to the protection of national security and social order in the context of the boom of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Participants in the conference discussed thoroughly the outcomes of the implementation of the IT Law in the public security forces, Resolution No. 26 of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Action Plan of the MPS on promoting the application and development of IT to the forces’ work in the new situation.

Deputy Minister Thanh appreciated the efforts of agencies and units at all levels in applying IT to every aspect of the public security work over the past time. He also congratulated individuals and teams honored in the conference.

He said he highly valued ideas, recommendations and proposals voiced at the conference, and urged the General Department of Logistics and Techniques and relevant agencies and units to summarize good opinions at the conference to draw up approaches to further promote the application of IT to the public security work.

Deputy Minister Thanh stressed that in the context of the 4th industrial revolution, the application and development of IT in operations of the public security forces is not only central to the public security forces but also helps raise the quality and efficiency of leadership, contributing to ensuring security and order.
